My one regret is that I'm not a cartoonist. If I were, I would draw a mousetrap and label the cheese "POST-WWII PROSPERITY", the trap "CAPITALISM", and the man setting the trap "THE CABAL".

Then, I might draw Mouse Zedong saying, "It's a trap! Find your own food!"

I like your concept, Diana, another fine metaphor.

"Prosperity" is indeed the cheese; when it's not baiting the trap, it's featured on refrigerated shelves behind locked glass doors as if to taunt us with its unavailability to the masses.

Ah yes, in my seventies now, I remember the semi-annual "check ups" at the dentist, dreading the report of how many cavities would need to be drilled and filled.

But only if you read the mainstream media

Quite true, Paula. To extend my analogy, it would be like owning Invisalign braces, but not ever wearing them.

We survived the Covid brainwashing by never reading / watching / listening to mainstream propaganda. But I agree entirely with Tritorch and you re what it does to those who innocently take in the poisonous ideas put forward as ‘news’

You just put Bernays maxim (quoted below) in modern terms with one simple visual idea : that our minds unknowingly molded over time into incorrect frames of thinking by the mockingbird media in the same way teeth are molded into shape by gradually correcting frames of plastic.

Like that plastic, TV gradually morphs our minds over time into more and more malevolent states of manipulation for the opposite reason than INVISALIGNS. Rather than straightening teeth toward synergy and normality, television's imperative is to warp the mind toward the unnatural which inevitably leads to evil & chaos.

I've seen this so many times within my own family. Their convictions once so pure and piercing now flow like water right alongside the latest malicious counterfeit narrative of the hour. They've lost their moral compass in totality due to their prolonged exposure to the hypnotizing power of brainwashing that passes as news followed by the memorizing ultra-violent theater (Sopranos/Breaking Bad/Game Of Thrones) chaser. Combined these mind controlling mechanisms are practically boundless in their ability to destroy morals while irrevocably blurring the line between right and wrong.

You hit the nail on the head with your insight, Ned. INVISALIGNS is to teeth what TV is to the mind, just in reverse. Bravo and encore!
