Oscars Distract from Genocide

Don't let the Oscars be a distraction from an ongoing genocide

The Oscars will be a spectacle watched by millions in the US and around the world. Meanwhile at the time of the Oscars broadcast, be prepared for another war-criminal incursion into Rafah in the Gaza Strip. There is precedent with the bombing of Rafah commencing pretty much with the kickoff at the Super Bowl.

I will note that during another recently televised national event, the State Of The Union address, likely not as widely watched, there was no concurrent atrocity. It would have been unseemly, I suppose.

Your attention will be masterfully misdirected, “Look over here, ooh, sparkly.” Don’t let them, don’t let them use grand spectacle to blot out the blotting out of a people.
