Flock surveillance cameras are the sensors of the security state
In case you are not familiar with these cameras and the controversy surrounding them:
Flock Safety cameras are AI-powered license plate readers that photograph passing vehicles, capture plate numbers and vehicle details like make, model, color, and time/location, and then store that data in a searchable cloud system used by law enforcement and some private entities. The controversy is that critics say they create a mass-surveillance network that tracks ordinary drivers, can reveal movement patterns, and may be accessed or used without enough oversight.
Across the country, there are increasing numbers of citizen activists (or domestic terrorists, if you accept the government’s framing) who disable or tear down these cameras. I merely recommend that you register your opposition by printing out the 8.5x11 PDFs included at the bottom of this article and affixing them to the poles holding up Flock cameras or other conspicuous places to display this sentiment:
